Philippians 3:12-14
12Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
13Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

God has created us "NEW" creations in Christ according to 1 Corinthians 5:17. Therefore, we must let go of the past and embrace the present and allow God to lead us to our destiny. My heart is flooded with emotion and joy today. I have decided to do just what Philippians admonishes and "FORGET WHAT'S BEHIND". So many of us hold on to the past and we cannot progress into God's perfect plan for us. We must keep reaching for the mark. What is the mark? It is a prize! What is the prize? It's the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. We are reaching for Him and in doing so we attain Christ and all that comes with Him. Jesus wants to erase your past and allow you to have a new life in Him, but you have a responsibility to forget. One of the hardest things for us to do is 'forget', whether because of pain or success, we hold on to the memory of it and it can become a hinderance. Ask yourself today, 'what am I reaching for'? We convince ourselves that it's not possible, but God says 'NOTHING' is impossible.
Last night at a Women's Conference, our worship leader was singing 'Moving Forward' by Ricardo Sanchez of Free Chapel. The words are:
Chorus
I'm not going back
I'm moving ahead
I'm here to declare
In You old things are made new
Surrender my life to Christ
I'm moving moving forward

What a moment
You have brought me to
Such a freedom
I have found in You
What a Healer
You make all things new

Yeah Yeah Yeah
You have risen
With all power in Your Hands
You have given me
A second Chance
Hallelujah Hallelujah

Yeah Yeah Yeah
Yeah Yeah Yeah

You make all things new
You make all things new
I will follow You
forward.....

Somewhere in the last few days God has given me a new strength, faith and expectation to believe Him in a way I had covered over with pain, anger, bitterness and many other things. I know that "He Makes All Things New" and I will follow Him. Come with me today and leave what is weighing you down behind. Come do what you were born to do...follow Him, live for Him and live in abundance of peace, joy and prosperity. Let Him make all things new for you. Declare today that you moving ahead. Proclaim that you are "MOVING FORWARD"...then take the steps...one at a time and move...

Heart Sick - The Good Treasure

"A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh." - Luke 6:45 -

We all would like to pride ourselves and believe that we are the man that 'bringeth forth that which is good', when in actuality, we all struggle with the words that come out of our mouth. Thus the wonderful saying "I put my foot in my mouth". Sometimes, I wish I could use my feet and 12 other people's feet as well. The bible clearly tells us that the tongue is the most unruly part of the body. It is like the rutter of a ship and if controlled, can steer the whole boat. We are careless with our words, whether negative or positive. How many people now on a daily basis finish a conversation with 'I love you' or 'love you'. It's a precious thought, but do we have any idea that weight those words should carry when coming out of our mouth. We've become so careless that we can't even trust our own words at times, so how in the world do we expect to trust God's word. We must change our conversation and make a decision to be wise with our words.

I've learned this, I IMMEDIATELY locate myself by what's coming out of my mouth. I heard a minister say once 'You are today the SUM total of everything you've been confessing". What does that mean? It means you've created things in your life by your own words. I am usually very cautious with words and what I hear others say, but I, like anyone else, have off days. I let my tongue go crazy and finally somewhere it dawns on me, I'm "Heart Sick". There is no 'good treasure' coming out of my mouth. What does that mean? It means I need to check my heart and see what I've been feeding it. It needs medicine. The medicine of the Word of God.

It amazes me that God refers to words as a treasure. Do you want real gold or fools gold? Real, of course. So the question to ask yourself today is are my words real gold or fools gold. Are they really a treasure? ...Of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh. What is your heart saying today using your tongue? Let it say something that can be counted a treasure.

1 Peter 2:24 (KJV)
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

If you were healed, then you are healed! God has placed promises in His word to remind us that we have ALREADY overcome. If you need healing in your body today, take His word and declare it over your physical, emotional or spiritual need today. God said in Isaiah 55:10-11:

10For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

So send His word to your need today and declare that By His Stripes, you WERE healed. I know that dealing with any kind of infimity or affliction can be dissappointing and cause you to even doubt in your faith, but hold on to His word today and know that it is God's will to heal everytime. I can't explain every situation in cases now where healing does not occur, I just choose to keep believing it's His will everytime, especially for those I know that are suffering. When you look at Jesus' walk on the earth, NEVER did he turn away and leave afflicted ANYONE that came to him.

God believes in you today and he wants you not just healed, but whole spirit, soul and body.

I wanted to create a blog where God was more than just a cliche or good thought. I wanted a venue where He was real and tangible. I am on a quest for a closer walk with Him. I feel in many ways I have drifted from the place with Him that we shared some wonderful times and secrets. I am reaching for Him and I know He is reaching back for me. He is all powerful, all knowing and READY to do some incredible things in us and through us.

Many people do not realize the power God has left us through His word. I am ready for Him to speak to me so I can help strengthen the brethren.

Luke 22:31-32
31And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
32But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
